Carrara

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet

Carrara, located in northern Tuscany, on the Apuan Riviera, has long been renowned as the city of marble.

It seamlessly blends with the Alps, offering a sequence of ever-changing and captivating landscapes dominated by the white mountain profiles and the marble extracted from the quarries, which have shaped the history and prosperity of this place.

The identity of this ancient center has always been intertwined with the pristine stone extracted from the quarries in this area since Roman times.

From then on, mentioning Carrara evokes images of marble and quarries, the renowned “white gold” that has attracted artists from far and wide throughout history.

Even the city’s coat of arms and its name are closely linked to marble: the city’s symbol depicts a wheel, and the toponym itself seems to derive from Cararia, the place of carts, those carts used to transport marble blocks. The wheel in the coat of arms is always associated with the motto: fortitudo mea in rota.
